(From Princes Street) The Festival Theatre is on Nicolson Street, which is the continuation of North Bridge heading south from the east end of Princes Street (the Balmoral Hotel is on the corner of Princes Street and North Bridge). The theatre is on the right hand side of the road; approximately 10 minutes walk from the east end of Princes Street.

Find us by road

The Festival Theatre is on Nicolson Street, which is the continuation of North Bridge heading south from Princes Street. Please note there is limited street parking around the Festival Theatre. There is a small car park located about 5 minutes walk from the theatre on Niddry Street (7am - 11pm, 7 days).

If you wish to cycle, there are bike racks in front of the theatre as well as on the side (by Stage Door). You can plan your cycle route using one of the different interactive routes available on the Edinburgh Council's website, including a QuietRoutes planner. 

Where can I park?

NCP's Holyrood Road car park is just a 9-minute walk from the theatre entrance, is open 24 hours, and has over 300 bays (including disabled bays). Please note the parking cannot be pre-booked. Find out more information about the car park
