Cove Park Creative Producers Residency announced

At Capital Theatres, we recognise the important role we can play in supporting the resilience of the arts industry and the future of its workforce. That’s why we’re thrilled to be supporting Cove Park and Business of Broadway with their new residency for creative theatre producers, starting today (13 January).  

Over the course of one week, residents will benefit from an immersive and creative space to connect and develop their theatre producing practice. This professional development opportunity is intended for early and mid-career theatre producers based in the UK and Ireland, and will include workshops and lectures on commercial theatre producing in New York City and beyond.  

The producers taking part in the residency are: 

From Business of Broadway, award-winning producer and founder of P3 Productions Sammy Lopez, Tony Award-winning producer, talent manager and educator Erica Rotstein, Tony nominated producer and general manager Heather Shields, and Tony Award-winning producer and educator Rachel Sussman. 

They will be joined by producer at ArtHouse Jersey Robyn Cabaret, Olivier nominated producer and founder of JFR Productions Jasmyn Fisher-Ryner, independent producer and strategic producer of In Good Company Rafia Hussain, independent producer and project producer at Marlborough Productions Nassy Konan, Executive Producer at Scissor Kick Nicola Lawton, Dublin-based Irish-American producer Cally Shine, London-based Australian producer Maryann Wright and our very own senior programmer at Capital Theatres Munya Redman-Bayasi. 

The Independent Producer Bursary for a Scotland-based producer has been awarded to Kate Taylor.
