Capital Theatres Remembers Val Walker

Capital Theatres is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Councillor Val Walker – a valued member of Capital Theatres' Board since September 2022.  

Chair of the Board, Dame Joan Stringer said: “Val’s passion and enthusiasm for the power of live performance was invaluable, especially as we progressed the King’s Theatre redevelopment. She was extremely supportive of our programmes and of the city’s cultural infrastructure overall. We will miss her greatly and our thoughts are with her loved ones at this sad time.”
