A professional development opportunity for dance teachers in Edinburgh.
Join a New Adventures Dance Artist for a Continuing Professional Development workshop that will introduce you to practical exercises, tools and tips for teaching dance and movement with young people inspired by the company’s storytelling methodology and values of Joy, Creativity, Wonder and Connection.
In this session, you will learn from the Dance Artist’s experience of working with young people in a variety of settings and explore New Adventures’ playful dance style and choreographic approach through warm up exercises, physical games, dance phrases and creative tasks that can be added to your tool kit.
Is this for me?
This workshop is open to anyone who teaches dance to young people and who has an interest in storytelling through movement. This might be dance, drama or PE teachers in education settings, community dance artists, or dance school teachers.
