About the artist
Tim Licata is an actor, director and magician originally from Chicago. He is co-artistic director of Plutôt la Vie Theatre Company, creating imaginative physical/visual theatre since 2003. Tim is an accomplished sleight-of-hand artist and resident magician at The Joker & Thief pub in Edinburgh. He performs regularly at events and parties throughout Scotland. His solo theatrical magic show, Close-Up & Personal was part of the Assembly Festival, Edinburgh Fringe 2024 and was featured in the Edinburgh International Magic Festival 2024. As an actor Tim has performed with; Plutôt La Vie, The Royal Lyceum Theatre Company, Catherine Wheels, Cumbernauld Theatre, Communicado, Lung Ha Theatre Company and Dundee Rep. Theatre. He has appeared in Outlander (Starz TV), The Cry (Synchronicity Films for BBC1) and recently voiced Fangio the Hedgehog in Olga da Polga for BBC Cbeebies (MaraMedia). Tim is a part-time Lecturer in Movement for actors at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
