A Lyra Young Company production
That Feeling When
by Natalia Barua with Caitlin Mulgrew and Jo Timmins
You know that feeling the night before your birthday?
And that sensation as you slip into a deep sleep with nowhere to be in the morning?
You know that feeling when you when finally burst out of school for the holidays?
And how good it feels to walk on piles of crunchy leaves?
From the softest new gloves in winter to screaming on rollercoasters in summer, That Feeling When is a sensory dance theatre and live music production, which asks how the seasons can be a guide to what feels good in the cycle of teen-hood.

About Lyra
Based in the extraordinary community of Greater Craigmillar (Edinburgh), Lyra runs Artspace, Scotland's first & only performing arts venue exclusively for children and teenagers.
Our vision is to have a transformative impact on the lives of the children and teenagers in our community, through long-term engagement with a broad, rich performing arts programme. Our cross art-form programme includes music, dance and theatre-making, bringing children and teenagers together with world-class arts professionals from Scotland and abroad.
We work in creative partnership with our children and teenagers, and our approach aims to raise aspirations through world-class provision, improve confidence by developing new skills and increase self-esteem by nurturing creative expression.
